Gillette Presents at Workers’ Compensation Seminar

March 6, 2018 – Firm attorney Adam Gillette presented at the 2018 Workers’ Compensation Seminar hosted by the Minnesota Association for Justice. Massie Presents at 2018 FBA Rising Professionals Symposium

February 8, 2018 – Last week, Firm attorney Dustin Massie presented at the inaugural Rising Professionals Symposium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Organized by the FBA, the conference brought together young attorneys and legal minds from around the country to discuss ways to help up-and-coming lawyers build their practice and become leaders in the legal community. October 13, 2017 – Firm partner Frances Baillon helped lead a panel discussion to the MDLA on settlement negotiations and drafting an effective employment settlement agreement. The presentation included a discussion about the importance of a settlement term sheet, which claims can and cannot be released, and the value of clarity and simplicity in the final agreement.

Thome Cited in Strib Regarding Workers Fired for Wearing Nazi Apparel

August 18, 2017 - Firm partner Joni Thome was cited in yesterday’s Star Tribune article concerning two employees who were fired for wearing Nazi uniforms. “In Minnesota…employees can be terminated for a good reason, a bad reason or no reason at all, just so long as it’s not an illegal reason.” Here, the employees have little recourse to contest their terminations.
